Director Martin Scorsese was honored with the Friars Club Entertainment Award Wednesday night (September 22) at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
Leonardo DiCaprio, who has collaborated with the director five times was one of many guests who presented words of appreciation to Scorsese.
“I thank you for everything you’ve done for me and our craft. You are my director, my collaborator, my friend,” DiCaprio said in his speech. “You are part of a community that spans continents and decades and I couldn’t think of a better recipient of this honor.”
Other guests at the event included Jonah Hill, Olivia Wilde, Sir Ben Kingsley, Larry King and frequent collaborator Robert De Niro.
