Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back to Black’ album released 10 years ago

It has been 10 years today (October 27, 2006) since the release of Amy Winehouse’s second, and what would be her final studio album, Back to Black.

The jazz and soul, critically acclaimed timeless classic won Best Pop Vocal Album at the 50th annual Grammy Awards in 2008.

Amy Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning on July 23, 2011 at the age of 27.

Here is the video for “Rehab,” the lead single off the album, which won Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 2008 Grammy’s.

Actor Michael Massee Passes Away at age 61


Michael Massee, best known for his guest-starring role as terrorist cell leader Ira Gaines during the first season of 24, has passed away at the age of 61.

According to Entertainment Weekly, he has nearly 80 credits from film and television, including The Crow, HBO’s Carnivàle, NBC miniseries Revelations and TNT’s Rizzolli & Isles.

There is no word yet on the cause of death.


Up & Coming R&B artist Malika Kmari featured in AVision Mag Unsigned Artist Showcase

AVision Magazine held it’s third annual Unsigned Artist Showcase – Female Edition – at Taj Restaurant and Lounge Tuesday night (October 25) in NYC.


The showcase, organized by AVision Magazine, was hosted by Blogstar Media TV Personality  Rae Holliday and Events Host DeeGlow, which featured four female artists, dubbed “The New Ladies of RnB,” including singer Malika Kmari.

Malika Kmari is a rising singer/songwriter for Clique Music from Queens, New York. Music has been in her family for generations and she has been on the scene for a long while now since recording songs at the age of 10.

Ciara and Russell Wilson Expecting First Child Together

Congratulations are in order for Ciara and husband Russell Wilson!

The singer shared the news on Instagram that she and the Seattle Seahawks quarterback are expecting their first child together.

“On this special Birthday I received an abundance of love from friends and family.. and I’m excited to Finally share one of the Greatest Gifts of All that God could give,” Ciara captioned.

The couple married in July after a four-month engagement. Ciara has a two-year-old son from a previous relationship with rapper Future.

Prince’s Paisley Park Approved to Operate as Museum


After receiving approval from the Chanhassen City Council in Minneapolis on Monday night, Prince’s Paisley Park will permanently operate as a museum.

The late singer’s recording complex will be open for tours to the public beginning this Thursday through Sunday. Tickets for a standard tour are $38.50 while the VIP tour is $100.


Prince passed away on April 21, 2016 at the age of 57 from an accidental drug overdose.
