Disney is ready to turn another animated feature into a live-action movie, this time being the company’s first and original princess, Snow White.
Screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson (most notable for the adaptation of The Girl on the Train), is in negotiations to write the script for the film while Benj Pasek and Justin Paul are set to compose new songs.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was Disney’s first animated full-length feature film released in 1937. It won an Honorary Oscar at the 11th Academy Awards and has been named AFI’s (American Film Institute) top animation movie.
Snow White is now part of other Disney animation films set to turn into live-action, including the soon-too-be-released Beauty & the Beast, The Lion King, Mulan and Aladdin.
