‘Tomb Raider’ video game is 20 years old!

Tomb Raider, often titled Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, celebrated its 20th anniversary on October 25, 2016.

The video game, created by Core Design, was first released in 1996 for personal computers, PlayStation and Sega Saturn consoles. It features Lara Croft, the main protagonist and heroine, whom searches for artifacts in ancient tombs and temples at several places around the world.

Angelina Jolie played the title character in film adaptations in 2001’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and its 2003 sequel Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life.
