Since its opening weekend, Fifty Shades Darker has seen a huge amount of success within the span of 11 days.
The sequel to 2015’s Fifty Shades of Grey, starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, is the number one movie in the world for the second weekend in a row, earning $276.9 million so far. Here in the United States, FSD was the number one movie during the week of February 10 (opening day) through February 16, earning a total of $68.6 million.
To top it off, the soundtrack album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts, earning 123,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Feb. 16, according to Nielsen Music. The soundtrack features the film’s first single “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” by Zayn and Taylor Swift, along with 18 other songs by artists including Sia, Halsey, John Legend, Nick Jonas feat. Nicki Minaj and Corrine Bailey Rae.
